Early morning departure from Ouarzazate in a 4x4 towards the impressive Chigaga dunes, stretching 40 km at an altitude of 300 meters. On the way, stop in Taznakht, known for its saffron production. Lunch in Foum-Zguid, the last town before the desert. The track becomes sandy as you approach Lake Iriqui, nestled in the natural park with rich biodiversity. In Chigaga, enjoy a walk in the dunes followed by a magical sunset, dinner, and overnight stay in a bivouac, immersed in the silence of the desert.
After breakfast at the bivouac, enjoy a 1.5-hour camel ride around the dunes. Then, drive to M'hamid, the southernmost oasis village in Morocco, crossing an additional 60 km of desert. Lunch in a charming hotel in the heart of the palm grove. Free afternoon to explore. Dinner and overnight stay in a picturesque inn.
Early departure towards Zagora, surrounded by beautiful ancient kasbahs. Stop in Tamgroute to visit the pottery workshop and the 11th-century Koranic library. Lunch in Zagora and a tour of the city. In the afternoon, drive to Tazzarine via the Djbel Zagora track. Visit a fossil site and explore the Tazzarine palm grove with its henna gardens and ancient kasbahs. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards the Tamnougalt Kasbah near Agdz, the former economic capital of the Mzgita region, via N'kob, a traditional village. Admire the Drâa Valley and its dense palm groves. Dinner in the heart of the kasbah and a visit. Return to Ouarzazate around 4 PM.
