Overview

M’hamid is located in the Drâa-Tafilalet region, approximately 98 kilometers southeast of Ouarzazate. The town sits at the gateway to the desert, near the border with Algeria, and marks the beginning of the vast desert expanse known as the Reg. The surrounding landscape is predominantly composed of arid plains and low mountains, characteristic of the desert climate.
